What We’ve Done (so far)

Election Mobilization

In 2025 we helped lead the charge for Prop 50 in San Mateo County and organized pan-SMC organizational canvasses. We also designed customized SMC literature with quotes from our electeds so that our county’s voters were well-informed on the importance of passing Prop 50. We also hold phone banking and canvassing for candidates/initiatives we endorse. Some 2024 highlights were when our team traveled to canvass for Harris in Las Vegas and organizing canvasses and phone banks for local candidates. In 2025 we made calls for Prop 50, and this 2026 Spring we are holding phone banks for our endorsed candidates in the primaries and priority swing congressional races.

Student Fellowships

We launched a high school educational fellowship in Fall 2025 called the Rising Stars Fellowship. Students are paired with local elected officials and help them on projects pertaining to local government. They are mentored by AAPI Alliance members in terms of political action and we teach them biweekly about government and policy. The students have to work on a capstone impact project where they choose a subject and create a community impact project. We volunteer for voter registration initiatives and our fellows help with those too.

Protest

We have co-organized countywide No Kings in Redwood City with our local community and elected leaders and lead folks into a march. We also mobilized emergency anti-ICE protests and co-sponsored May Day 2026!
